Our Findings

The Autoimmune COVID-19 Project has been assessing the concerns and behaviors of patients with autoimmune conditions using surveys over the course of the COVID-19 pandemic. Here is what we have learned so far about the respiratory illness symptoms, experiences of COVID-19 testing, telehealth, immunosuppressive therapy, and sources of information preferences of patients living with autoimmune conditions during the pandemic.

Patient Concerns about COVID-19 TESTING

Based on a registry of 2351 patients from the ArthritisPower, CreakyJoints, and Vasculitis networks, the following patient concerns on COVID-19 testing were reported: 27% patients would like to have been tested, but only .03% of patients were actually tested for COVID-19. The main reasons patients were not tested for COVID-19 was that either a test was not available or was not offered or recommended by a doctor.
